Las Vegas Pool Parties 101 – Episode Transcript

0:35

And get ready to embark on a new adventure with us around the globe.

Hey squaties, welcome to this week’s episode of Just the Tip.

Today you have me, Kim, the fun one of the group coming in hot.

With the best Las Vegas day clubs, pool parties.

0:52

And all the tips to maximize your summer parties in Sin City.

I love, love, love, love love a good pool party.

It’s one of my favorite things to do in the summer and absolutely no city.

Does it better?

Than Las Vegas.

Las Vegas pool.

Parties and day clubs.

1:08

Are a staple.

Of the cities entertainment scene in the summer especially it combines massive.

Resort style pools.

World renowned deejays and musical artists.

Luxury VIP.

Experiences and nonstop energy and socialization under the desert sun.

1:24

It is such a good time.

Pool party season is right now we are in the middle of it.

It typically runs from Spring through.

Early fall, typically.

Launches like mid-May, just before Memorial Day and then goes, yeah, about September when it starts to cool down a little bit in Las Vegas.

1:40

I would say Memorial Day, Labor Day.

You’re solid there.

I have been before in June though and you would think Las Vegas is so hot in the summer but this random June day it was.

Actually, cold we were.

Shivering in the pool.

It was.

Very weird, but most of the time during pool party season you can expect to be in the 90s, even the hundreds of temperatures.

1:58

So you are going to want to be in that pool a lot of the times these pool parties.

Don’t have a lot of shade so.

In the water.

Is where you will.

Typically want to be one time actually we were coming back from a pool party me and a group of girlfriends and one of my girlfriends got out of the taxi she.

Was like why do they have the?

Heaters on out here and I had to laugh at her a little bit and said you had one too many of those.

2:17

Beverages at the pool today.

Because these are not heaters, this is.

Just the way it feels outside.

It was really funny.

All right, Squatty, let’s start you out with some tips for Las.

Vegas pool parties and things you need to know before.

You go the first.

One is you cannot bring in anything and I’m talking about gum, mints, date, pens, eye.

2:36

Drops all of that.

Will be taken away from you at the check in when they.

Check your bag so.

Don’t even bring that kind of stuff because it will be taken away from you.

They will.

Check.

Those types of things to like even a chopstick.

I don’t know what you might be putting in a chopstick, but if you’re considering anything, just know.

It probably will get.

2:51

Checked and maybe even thrown out where sunscreen because you will need it a.

Lot of these pool parties do have.

Lockers that you can rent.

I’ve rented a locker for $10.

I rented a locker.

For $50.00 so.

Maybe look into that a little bit if you do plan to bring things that you want to store.

Away.

3:07

A lot of times also you can kind of get a.

Spot on the side.

Of the pool and kind of camp out.

There, but if you.

Do want a locker?

A lot of times you can find one.

You don’t need to bring your own towels, so don’t worry about.

That it’s a hotel pool, so they have towels.

There, the one thing you do need to know is when you buy drinks, they will be expensive.

3:24

The most expensive drinks in Las Vegas.

Are at the day club pool.

Parties, I’m talking 50 to $100 per drink, but you’re typically going to get.

One of those larger.

Like souvenir style drinks with a lid, which is very important in the pool.

You want to lid and a straw so you don’t get pool water in your drink.

3:40

So it’s a pretty big drink, but yes, it’s very expensive.

Dress code.

Men, I’m just going to glaze over you.

No one cares.

What you wear, just pull it together.

OK, we’re talking beach.

Attire.

Pool attire.

You know what to do Women dress code for women is hot you are going to a.

Las Vegas pool party.

3:57

Think Tulum, Think Mykonos, Think Ibiza.

You want to dress to impress?

I mean, you’re in Las Vegas.

Don’t sum it up.

I would recommend wearing some type.

Of like a pool style wedge or.

Even a flip flop kitten heel style shoe like look nice, have fun with it.

4:13

You will typically be in just your bikini or your one piece, whatever your swimsuit and maybe a little.

Cover up.

You could have that if you’re outside of the pool.

Wouldn’t wear a lot.

Of clothes here at all, you will be overdressed if you wear a lot of clothes.

You do have to.

Wear some type of cover up of course as you’re going to the.

Hotel to get.

4:28

In line to get into the pool party I mostly.

Saw.

And also wore just bottom cover ups.

Or like a little.

Skirt, I didn’t have anything on top.

Many people came in bikini only on top and that was just fine.

But you do need to cover the cheeks when you’re walking.

Through those halls.

Get your tickets in advance is my next.

4:46

Tip whether you.

Get them for free and I’m going to get to that, so stay with me.

Squaties, get your tickets.

In advance, whether you purchase your ticket online or you get it through a promoter.

However, you get it just.

Get it in advance.

The reason is because if you are going to try.

To buy a ticket at the door, you can expect to pay 5.

5:03

Times as much.

As if you were to just buy.

It the day before.

Online ticket sales stop when the party starts.

You can’t buy them once it’s already started.

Most promoter deals aren’t going to be happening during the party as well unless it’s dead inside.

Which of course if the pool.

Isn’t popping.

You don’t want to go in anyway.

5:19

So get your tickets.

Ahead of time when I went to.

This latest pool party, it was like 5.

Times as much and I would highly encourage you not to pay that.

So just get your ticket ahead.

Of time.

The other thing about pool parties?

If you like a pool.

Party.

I’m guessing you don’t mind crowds and that’s.

Good because it will be crowded.

5:35

It’s a pool party.

It’s basically like a Las.

Vegas nightclub during the day so you can expect.

There to be crowds.

To be touching.

Don’t be one of those.

People who’s like.

You’re in my space like this, isn’t your?

Space.

This is our space.

We’re at a pool party.

You’re not probably going to get a pool bed, maybe unless you pay.

5:53

For it, if your pool has that kind of.

Layout, but it’s just not the kind of pool party where.

You’re going to put your.

Towel on a bed and post up and lay there.

That’s just not what it’s for.

You’re at a pool party to party.

OK, so let’s talk a little bit about these Las Vegas.

Day clubs now not.

6:09

All of the pool parties are created.

Equal and I’m going to get into some of the pool parties in just a second here, but.

Yes, each place will.

Bring a different.

Type of.

Crowd Younger, older, more mature?

Sure.

More chill, more laid back, Different style of music.

It depends on where you go and the DJ.

6:25

Or the artist that’s.

Playing right, if you have Drake playing, it’s going to draw a different crowd than if you have John Summit, so definitely pay attention to who is playing that day.

You can check the line up on.

The day club’s website Some of these.

Pools are massive.

Huge resort style.

6:42

Pools.

Some of the pools are dinky and small and embarrassing.

Some of them have many different.

Pools across their sprawl.

Property.

So there’s different layouts.

I like the bigger.

Pools, I think they bring the bigger, more fun DJ’s, fun crowds, more chance to mingle, more chance to actually get in the pool and swim, find a little spot on the edge to make a camp mode, a towel down and.

7:06

Post up there, but if there’s a good.

Artist playing a small pool.

Sometimes you got to go.

I have been to so many Las Vegas.

Pool parties over the years, I truly.

Cannot remember them all and they do close down, reinvent their concept and then open back up under a different name.

7:22

So some of these have been too, but now they’re different so I can’t fully speak to them.

Pre COVID I was a Las.

Vegas pool party junkie.

I went all.

The time I was living in San Diego, it was.

Just a 5 hour drive or?

Like a 45 minute flight.

To Las Vegas, so.

I went all the time I live.

7:40

For Las Vegas pool parties.

But as you know, then COVID happened, Vegas completely shut down.

It was completely dead and I did not go to a Las.

Vegas.

Pool party until May of 2026.

I just went.

So that was basically 7.

7:55

Years without a Las Vegas pool party.

And I got to tell you after going this last May, pool parties and Las.

Vegas is so back.

For a long time people were saying Las Vegas is dead, no one parties anymore.

That is just so not the case.

Vegas is alive.

8:12

And thriving.

I was also there in March.

Just before this.

Didn’t go to a.

Pool party because it’s too early, but it was also popping in Vegas.

Vegas is back, baby.

And I know I went to Vegas in May.

It was EDC weekend.

I did not go to EDC.

But there were a lot of EDC people out of these pools.

8:27

Like, really?

Fun.

Good.

Vibes type people so.

That definitely helped it be more crowded than typical, but again, like I said, I was there in March.

As well.

So Las Vegas is back.

Baby and pool parties are.

Here to stay, So let’s talk about some of the best pool.

8:43

Parties in Las Vegas, I’m going to start with the one that I just went to most recently and that is.

Live, live is so.

Fun I.

Loved the vibes here.

The pool isn’t the biggest.

But it’s not the tiniest, so John Summit has a residency.

Here I absolutely love.

8:59

John Summit, we went for that.

We did buy our.

Tickets in advance, it was like 80 bucks for women, a little bit more for men.

Bought them like a month in advance and they did go up in price and we probably could have gotten them for free.

But I really.

Wanted to see John Summit as well as the girls.

That I went with and so we bought our tickets just.

9:16

For guaranteed safety sake.

Pool is pretty big.

It’s it is.

Crowded in there, but it’s not so crowded that you can’t walk around or that you can’t get in the pool.

There’s still plenty of space for that.

I thought.

There were so many good looking 30s forties, 20s people.

Great vibes like.

9:32

The music definitely has some dictation over the crowd that it brings out.

And of course people who like John Summit, those are my people.

So I.

Really, really enjoyed.

This place and I think the way the VI.

PS were set up here too, like there were VIP booths all over.

9:48

But they were spread out enough where it wasn’t overrun and like just avip lounge.

Some of the VI PS are right next to the.

Pool.

So if you.

Were going to get AVIP booth here.

I think that would be an awesome 1 some of the VI.

PS have their.

Own little pool, which is pretty cool too if you’re not in the main pool.

Great great vibes here.

10:04

Absolutely loved it here.

The other one I went to on this.

Vegas trip.

That I went on.

I went for two days, one night in and out.

I got in at like 7:00 AM, hit the pool.

Party left.

Sunday at like 8:00 PM after the 2nd pool party.

So I was there on a mission.

Boots on the ground research.

10:20

For you squaties, the first.

Club that we went to right after I’d gotten off the plane was Omnia Day Club.

It’s a little bit of a newer spot, but.

It was pretty.

Cool.

When you walk in, it’s got this really cool entrance.

Very interesting.

They have these entertainers and costumes.

10:36

But I got to say when all is said and done, I did not love Omnia Day Club.

The reason we went was.

Because Rufus du.

Soul was playing.

It was opening act of the opening weekend of pool parties.

And so it was very crowded.

Rufus brought out a huge crowd.

10:52

It was so crowded you could barely.

Walk around, I do not like the way they have.

Structured the VI PS.

Here they’re just everywhere.

It’s overrun with VIP.

Booths so it blocks.

Your view no matter where you go.

If you go up.

To the second floor, you can’t even go to the area to look down to see it’s completely.

11:09

Blocked by VIP tables also.

So those VI PS don’t have access to any pool.

Most of the VI PS here you cannot even touch.

The pool, it’s hot as.

Hell, why would you want to be in a VIP booth without a pool nearby anyway?

It was way.

Way, way too overcrowded.

We did watch Rufus.

11:25

In the.

Pit of the crowd.

Right up front, we.

Were able to get literally right up front.

So that made it really, really cool seeing Rufus.

There was the.

Highlight It was amazing.

I never even got in the.

Pool here because the pool was so crowded.

You couldn’t even get in.

There was nowhere.

To go so.

11:40

All of a sudden and then I would not go back to Omnia Day Club unless it was for an artist that I really, really wanted to see.

Some other day clubs that I’ve been to in years past.

Marquee Day Club has been around for a very long time.

Always a good time if.

There’s a good DJ.

Playing there, hit it up.

11:55

Same thing with Encore Beach Club.

It has been around for a very long time.

It has always been good.

Good vibes.

Great pool if there’s a good.

DJ playing there, highly recommend going.

There’s some newer ones that I haven’t been to and some that have been around for a minute I just haven’t been to.

Haven’t been to all of them, right?

12:11

Palm tree.

Beach Club looks absolutely.

Gigantic.

So much pool.

Space I would love to go to.

That one next time I hit up Vegas.

Maybe it’ll be before this summer is up.

If I’m lucky maybe I can get a little too for this summer.

Towel Beach Club been around for a long time.

12:27

It is a bit smaller, but for the right DJ it’s a good time.

We have liquid beach.

Club.

I haven’t been there it.

Does look.

To be a bit smaller from the pictures, I can’t vouch for that one, but again, I would go to any of these.

Beach clubs if the artist was right.

Some newer ones that I haven’t been to.

12:43

Stadium swim, it looks like.

If you have a a sports.

Fan in your group who’s like a fanatic Cannot miss the sports game.

This is the place.

That you want to.

Bring Them has a huge screen or sports watching and a lot of pool and seating areas IU.

12:59

Spelled ayu is a rooftop.

Spot notice this on my drive.

Out and was like oh that’s cool rooftop pool vibe looks very.

Vibey from the pictures.

I would love to check this one out, Cassie.

Beach club it.

Sounds cool, but judging by the pictures it doesn’t look like it’s going to be.

13:15

A big party vibe.

It looks really vibey.

And nice, but it seems like it’s going to be more calm.

It’s not going to bring out the big.

DJ’s and parties.

Tailgate Beach Club looks really cool.

It’s.

At the to Mandalay.

Bay it used to.

Be called something else my. 1st pool.

Party in Vegas I ever went to was at the Mandalay Bay and it’s a.

13:32

Huge pool had.

Such a good time here I met a.

Couple here that had.

Avip Booth and when you get the VIP you have a minimum spend and they had they hadn’t spent all their minimum spend yet.

But obviously they paid for it, so they gave us their VIP.

They left early.

We were able to use the rest of.

13:48

Their credit met another.

Couple there that had actually.

Invited us over and we went over to their home later that night to watch Mayweather fight, so we had a really good time meeting.

Really cool people here.

And the last one I want to mention is excess.

It’s.

A day club, but.

It’s also excess night swim is so fun in the summertime when it’s 110° in the daytime, it’s probably, you know, 95 to 100° in the night time.

14:13

So you can still go swimming at night.

Oh my God, excess night swim was one of the best times I ever had in.

Vegas.

This was actually the last pool.

Party I had gone to in Vegas.

Before COVID hit.

Labor Day weekend had a huge group of friends.

Out there with us.

It’s a huge.

14:29

Pool they have.

Floaties in the pool A.

Crazy DJ The lights go crazy with the.

Lasers and all that that the DJ is putting out such a good time.

We had our own little VIP Cove in the pool with like beds and chairs in the pool.

Area it was.

Absolutely perfect, everyone there.

14:45

Was a blast.

Tons of people partying in the pool people.

Partying outside of the pool, both in Pool outfits.

And in your average, you know, nightclub attire that you would see in.

Vegas, it was such.

A good time if I could recommend any pool party XS night swim would be one of them.

15:03

All right, Squatty, if you are still.

With me, I’m going to reward.

You with how?

To get in to.

Pool parties for free.

Men and women, my secret weapon is no cover nightclub.com this.

Allows you to look.

At nightclubs and day clubs and sign up.

15:19

For free guest list.

For women and men.

Couple caveats for you is if it’s a really popular artist or really.

Popular weekend it might not be available so.

Do it as early as possible.

I always sign up for a bunch and it doesn’t cost anything.

You can put men and women on there just in case you want to go so you can sign up for more than one.

15:39

The caveat also is you have to go early for pool parties.

I think it’s typically you have to be in before 1:00 PM, but it’s not guaranteed.

If the pool party fills up by. 12 and they’ve.

Exhausted their guest list.

Capacity, you will not be let in so.

You have to go early earlier.

15:54

Than you think like getting in line around 10/30, 11:00 AM.

When you get in there, it’s not going to be bumping yet, but you’re going to be one of the people to help.

Start the party.

So that is a.

Piece.

Of it, if it’s an artist you really, really want to see, and you don’t want to risk not getting in through guest list, then you might want to get a.

16:10

Ticket versus.

Doing the free guest.

List, but if you’re.

Kind of like whatever.

About it, you’re going to go early.

Guest list is pretty.

Solid.

I’ve gotten my friends in and myself in men and women many many times from this website.

The other one is promoters Las Vegas.

The I was on promoters.

16:26

If you just look up the hashtag on Instagram Las Vegas promoter you will find plenty of guys to DM that will help get you into the places you want to go to give them your group.

Size.

You can help coordinate VIP booths if you’re interested in getting AVIP, actually paying for it, or maybe sharing one with another group of like minded people, they can help pair you up.

16:46

In shared VIPs, which is pretty cool.

If you’re staying at the hotel.

Where the day club?

Is a lot of times you can get free.

Tickets to the day.

Or the nightclubs.

And then here’s what I’m going to say about getting VIP.

For.

Free now.

Sorry dudes, I can’t help.

You.

But ladies, if.

17:02

You want to get into VIP for free?

My biggest.

Biggest.

Tip is to look.

Hot and have fun.

Stand near the VIP.

Areas a lot of.

Times.

People will just start.

Talking to you if you look fun and when we were at Omnia Day Club, we were just kind of standing like trying to figure out what to do because.

17:19

It was so crowded.

We were near the VIP.

That was by the pit of the crowd.

And this lady just starts handing out shots to everyone around.

They were really delicious.

Shots and we’re like.

Is it your birthday?

Like, thanks for the shot.

And she’s like.

No, we just have.

So much alcohol like all right, awesome, thanks for the shot.

And it wasn’t like her poor aunt giving it to us.

17:36

It was the.

Server so I.

Know you might be thinking like maybe you shouldn’t take a shot from a stranger, but it was the.

Server who gave it to us.

And it was good.

Also.

Then when we went.

To live.

Oh my God, this was.

Like what you hear about Vegas?

It was the best day ever so.

17:51

Me and my 2 girlfriends, we got our drink, we’re in the.

Pool area that.

You’re not swimming.

It’s kind of like up into your mid.

Calf is where the pool goes.

We’re dancing, we’re having so much fun, we’re vibing.

We.

Already love the vibe.

More than the day before at Omnia, we’re having so much fun and then all of a sudden a security guard comes over to us and he says, hey, do you guys want to go in the VIP villa?

18:12

And we’re like, yes, and.

So these guys had got a VIP Villa security brought.

Us in there, there was obviously plenty of other girls in there too.

They had their own private little pool, tons of alcohol and we drank and partied in their pool in their villa the entire time with John Summit playing.

18:31

It was amazing.

You could probably talk to promoters as well and say, hey, can you get me into a VIP villa or security garden and see if they can work their magic.

A lot of times they can too.

Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.

Squatty’s I.

Just want to give some honorable mentions before.

18:46

I go free pool.

Parties that aren’t exactly.

Parties, but they’re still really great pools.

Topgolf.

In Las.

Vegas has a pool.

You can swim for free, they have a DJ fun vibes.

Caesar’s Palace Hotel pool is absolutely gorgeous.

Huge.

And they have an adult only section.

Tons of beds to the Flamingo Hotel pool.

19:03

Is huge good vibes.

Have a great time there, you don’t have to pay to get in.

Not going to have famous DJ’s but.

It is a good.

Time Squatty’s if you are planning a summer Las.

Vegas day club pool party trip.

Let me know I’m I just book a trip and meet you there.

Meanwhile, thank you so much for tuning into this week’s Just the Tip.
